It’s sweet, it’s healthy and the most important part – it’s delicious!

Pestil comes from eastern areas of Turkey and the most popular version is from Malatya. Produced from fruits- specifically from apricot (although you can also find a version made of mulberries and grapes). Pestil doesn’t have a lot of ingredients- just cooked fruits which are spread in a thin layer of cotton material and let to dry. After removal, the solidified mass of material is cut into smaller pieces. Nuts or apricot kernels can me added.
