Nemrut Mountain (Nemrut Dağı) is an extraordinary place in Turkey. There are a lot of examples of places which are extremely beautiful but not so easy to reach. Mount Nemrut is one of them. But this is only one of the reason why it makes it so special and it is definitely worth to visit it!
Ancient Statues standing on the top of the mountain in the southeastern part of Turkey make an unforgettable experience. Nemrut is a 2,134 m high mountain where a number of large statues are erected around what is assumed to be a royal tomb from the 1st century BC. Mount Nemrut was made a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1987.
